Louis Vuitton has chosen the talented Ana de Armas as the face of their latest high jewelry campaign, showcasing the exquisite Deep Time collection. As the brand's ambassador, the renowned actress graces the visuals with her captivating presence.
In the campaign, Ana de Armas radiates elegance while wearing a mesmerizing bustier with a sweetheart neckline. However, the true highlight is the stunning Bones necklace, a masterpiece from the collection's first chapter, unveiled in mid-June. This extraordinary necklace features an oval-cut Australian opal weighing over 43 carats, a pear-cut Paraiba tourmaline of 20.93 carats, and nearly 100 carats of emerald-cut tanzanites, embellished with a plethora of white diamonds.
The intricate craftsmanship of the Bones necklace is unparalleled, taking approximately 4,430 hours to create. It is hailed as the most complex necklace ever produced by the esteemed French luxury house. Notably, the necklace offers versatile styling options, with the ability to be worn in four different ways, showcasing its versatility and artistry.
Ana de Armas follows in the footsteps of esteemed ambassadors Cate Blanchett and Alicia Vikander, who have previously graced Louis Vuitton's high jewelry campaigns. The captivating images were beautifully captured by photographer Sølve Sundsbø in Greece, where the brand unveiled its fifth high jewelry collection. The event was a grand affair, culminating in a mesmerizing performance at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus theater, set against the magnificent backdrop of the Acropolis in Athens. Choreographed by Dimitris Papaioannou, the dance performance was accompanied by the enchanting music of star violinist and orchestra conductor Renaud Capuçon.
The Deep Time collection, curated by Francesca Amfitheatrof, the artistic director for watches and jewelry, promises to be a true marvel. With over 170 unique designs and an unprecedented number of precious stones, Louis Vuitton showcases the epitome of luxury and exclusivity.
Ana de Armas was deeply impressed by the collection, describing the stones as exceptionally rare and unique. Among the extraordinary gems are a 40.80-carat royal blue sapphire from Sri Lanka paired with a 6-carat flower-cut diamond, an opal from a dried-up river in Mexico that hasn't yielded stones in a century, a captivating emerald-cut aquamarine weighing over 30 carats, and a striking set of seven Colombian emeralds totaling 16 carats, showcased in the remarkable Gondwana collar necklace.
The collection also features remarkable naturally occurring zircons, one of the oldest minerals that surpass even diamonds in age. Francesca Amfitheatrof chose these stones to emphasize their rarity and their profound connection to time and history.
Ana de Armas expressed her admiration for the jewelry designer's creativity, praising her ability to transform jewelry into true works of art. She found inspiration in the collection's concept of an epic journey through time, from the formation of the Earth to the creation of life.
As a favorite choice, the necklaces captured Ana de Armas's attention, especially the striking Bones necklace featured in the campaign. She also highlighted the enchanting Wave necklace that gracefully curled beneath the neck, adorned with the remarkable 40-carat sapphire. Additionally, she admired the elegance of the yellow and white gold Plants necklace, adorned with brilliant-cut emeralds and rubies, which she proudly wore to a dinner celebrating the collection.
