Nicole Kidman rewears her Chanel No. 5 commercial dress for the 2023 Met Gala

Nicole Kidman arrived at the 2023 Met Gala in a dress that will be familiar to Chanel fans. The actor wore a stunning blush-pink chiffon gown with beads and feather detailing down the long train. Her husband, Keith Urban, accompanied her to the event. The dress was made famous in 2004, in an iconic Chanel No. 5 perfume commercial in which Kidman was shown running in the middle of Times Square in New York City. Karl Lagerfeld, the late creative director of Chanel, designed the gorgeous dress at the time.

Kidman added her own twist to the dress, accessorizing it with black heels and a pearl clutch from Chanel, as well as Harry Winston chandelier earrings and a diamond ring. She completed the look with beachy waves and a black bow in the back, giving off an angelic, Juliet-inspired vibe.

The dress may be almost 20 years old, but Kidman said during a chat with La La Anthony on Vogue's red carpet live stream, "If you take care of them and you love them, they're timeless." She also noted that the dress was "light as a feather" and "unbelievably comfortable," despite it being a classic couture piece.

Next to Kidman, Urban looked dapper in a black suit, including a long jacket similar to Lagerfeld's signature style. The longtime couple exchanged laughs and kisses as they posed for the cameras on the red, white, and blue carpet.
