Mia Khalifa Stars in Aries' New FW23 Campaign

Mia Khalifa is enlisted by London-based fashion brand Aries for its new campaign. The former porn star and web-cam girl's courageous spirit and bold personality is evident throughout the shoot, and she’s a force to be reckoned with. The 29 year old Lebanese-American is tapped by the brand for not one, but two of its latest projects, including the latest Fall/Winter 2023 campaign along with an intimate photo book. Designed by Jonny Lu, the Z-shaped book combines two different works, one which is the brand’s new preview campaign, followed by an intimate set of portraits of the sensation. Titled Mia by Aries, the photo series was photographed over a couple of days in the seaside town of Whitstable by long-time Aries collaborator, Clare Shilland.

The photo-series highlights the duality of Khalifa, and brings to life a glossy, campaign-ready portrayal of the star, which is juxtaposed by a laid-back and simple yet intimate look at a day in her life, photographed at Mia’s house on the coast of England.

“I felt immediately inspired by Mia’s ‘Punk’ attitude. She is strong but extremely humble, and under her glossy appearance here is a tough young girl who has had to fight her way through so much adversity. I wanted to capture her wild spirit; raw and unpolished,” explains Aries founder, Sofia Prantera in a press release.

The photo-series is presented along with an interview by model, activist and writer, Deba Hekmat, who discusses about Khalifa’s love of London and the significance of her Lebanese-American heritage in her work. “I still very much struggle with my identity,” explains Mia in the interview. “I think that my values, my roots - everything about me is very much Lebanese, and I never want to lose that entirely,” she adds.
