Andreea Diaconu Flaunts Mango’s Sustainable Spring 2022 Denim

For its Spring/Summer 2022 Denim Campaign, Spanish fashion brand Mango brings an array of eco-friendly styles. All of the collection's new designs are made with sustainable characteristics. The campaign heads on location to the Canary Islands and features real-life couple Andreea Diaconu and Simon Nessman, along with Devyn Garcia. Photographed against a natural backdrop, the cast highlights jean shirts, jumpsuits, and dip-dye designs.

This new collection from the high-street brand features denim for all genders, ages, and sizes. They use EcoWash, which uses specific software (EIM) to measure the environmental impact of jean washing and finishing operations in terms of water and chemical use. The latest Mango collection is based on urban denim, with pops of bright colors like pink and yellow.

Mango is also achieving growth and success of its sustainability goals in collections after attaining the Committed designation on 80% of its clothing. In just one year, the brand has almost doubled its share of sustainable clothes.

To reduce the usage of plastic, Mango initiated a project in 2020 to replace plastic packaging with paper bags, becoming the first noted Spanish clothing brand to do so. The company’s goal is to eliminate all plastic bags from its supply chain gradually. Through this initiative Mango will be able to stop using roughly 160 million plastic bags annually.
