Why Switch to Natural and Organic Cosmetics

You’ve probably been using synthetic cosmetic products all your life. We know because, for years, these kinds of beauty items have been dominating the market. But not until the green revolution in the cosmetics industry happened.

This movement advocates a sustainable lifestyle by promoting beauty products that are made of natural and organic products. These products promise to be as effective (or even better) as the ones we’re used to. But they’re less harmful to the environment because of their natural ingredients and sustainable manufacturing processes.

We understand that switching to something new and unfamiliar could be a tall order. But if you’re planning to replenish your beauty kit, now might be the best time to consider these natural and organic products.

There are a ton of reasons why it’s beneficial for you to switch. But before that, let’s clear things up first.

Natural and organic are not interchangeable terms

A lot of brands right now mistakenly interchange these things. Keep in mind that a product can be both natural and organic. But a natural skincare product is not automatically an organic product, even if they’re made with 100% natural ingredients.

So how do you know that a product is both natural and organic? Easy. Look at their labels and see if they are certified natural and organic by the proper governing bodies.

If these skincare goods are approved by these organizations, it only means that these products are at least 95% made with plant sources. Also, it means these ingredients are organically grown and harvested.

The term “organically” is the keyword here. It means that the ingredients were farmed without using pesticides and petroleum-based fertilizers which are both harmful to nature.

Now that we’ve straightened that up, let’s move on to the next one.

Why make the switch?

  1. Now’s the best time to really care for the environment

Manufacturers have been making skincare products, since their invention, by using harmful and toxic substances. Not only to the environment but also your skin.

What happens is that after using these products, the toxic substances will eventually find their way to nature and endanger animals, plants, and other ecosystems.

You know what, you don’t even have to use these products to bring harm to nature.

In the manufacturing stage alone, aluminium and lead are needed to complete the product. In case you don’t know, these ingredients require incessant mining, which is one of the biggest environmental threats the world is facing right now.

  1. You deserve so much better

Like we’ve mentioned earlier, synthetic products are harmful both for the environment and your skin. These kinds of products normally contain triclosan, sulphates, paraben, and petrochemicals which are all notorious for harming overly sensitive skin.

But if you switch to natural and organic skincare and cosmetics, your skin will be enriched with all the nutrients that it needs.

These products are made of natural ingredients so skin irritation, allergies, swelling, redness, and itchiness are already out of the picture.

  1. Natural and organic products are relatively cheaper

We’re not sure where this came from, but there’s a general misconception that green products are more expensive than traditional ones. Which is not true! You can find the cheapest skincare products, which are legitimate, whether online or in pop-up stores.

If you’re honestly considering switching, make sure that you buy the best organic skincare Australia products from trusted shops only.

Or if you want to save more money, you can make your own! The normal ingredients are readily available in supermarkets while the recipes are all over the internet! You just have to weed out the legit from the fake ones.
