A detailed review and swatches of the ColourPop Super Shock Highlighter in Wisp, uncovering its performance and the stunning effects it delivers.
ColourPop has been in the business of making beauty products for about two years now, and already its products are Holy Grail makeup products of the majority. Everyone who tries ColourPop products instantly falls in love with them‚ the similar was my case. I have tried the ColourPop Ultra Matte liquid lipsticks and Lippie Stixs before and fell head over heels with them immediately. After seeing that ColourPop Highlighter in Wisp was the Holy Grail Highlighter of Kathleen Lights‚ the very well-known YouTube Beauty Guru‚ I had to try it for myself. Read below for a detailed review on ColourPop Highlighter in Wisp.
ColourPop Highlighter in Wisp claims:
Lemme wisp-er in your ear, tell you something that you might like to hear, wait until you see our Golden champagne with highly reflective hues of gold duo chrome finishes.
ColourPop Highlighters are available in 18 beautiful shades.
ColourPop Highlighter comes in a white plastic packaging with a clear lid‚ which makes ColourPop packaging unique than the basic black packaging of other makeup brands. The packaging is quite sturdy‚ doesn't break easily. However‚ the writing on the lid rubs off quickly. This highlighter is not quite travel-friendly‚ so you have to be extra careful about taking it on your trips.
The ColourPop Highlighter in Wisp has a unique consistency, which I have never seen before. It is very mousse like and soft‚ when you apply it on your cheeks it applies easily and gives a softer‚ more blended finish than a powder highlighter. The ColourPop Highlighter in Wisp is a beautiful Champagne Gold Highlighter with tiny specs of shimmer. The highlighter is on the more deep bronze side‚ so it will look more flattering on medium to deep skin tones. It can work for light to medium skin tones too if used with a light hand.
ColourPop advises you to shut the lid securely after using the highlighter to maintain the mousse like texture. Due to the unique formula‚ Colourpop suggests you apply it with your finger and that's how I personally prefer applying this highlighter on my cheeks. You can also apply this highlighter with a damp beauty blender or a synthetic brush. This highlighter is a bit deep for my light to medium complexion‚ so I use a light hand with this highlighter and blend it properly.
It doesn't emphasise your pores and looks naturally glowy on the skin. The highlighter is very affordable and this is the reason ColourPop products get all the hype they deserve. The highlighter lasts a good 8 to 10 hours on my skin, and even after it has faded away‚ the tiny specs of shimmer are still there to give a little bit of glow. According to many people and online swatches‚ this highlighter is an excellent dupe for the famous highlighter Opal by Becca Cosmetics. I have yet to try the Opal Highlighter‚ so I can't say about Wisp being its perfect dupe. However‚ I will add some Google swatches for you to decide for yourself.
